We are proud to announce we won an ISES ESPRIT AWARD for best Event Filmmaking. The ISES Esprit Awards now in their 18th year, recognize the best and most creative talent and efforts in the special events industry in more than 30 categories.
This film was our first foray into film production. The transfer from events production to film was fairly seamless as the two use basically the same process. Start with the goals, create the vision and put together a great team.
We would like to thank the amazing team…
Harry Harrison for his excellent art and poignant wit
Fred Lichtenstein and his team at Filmages for their professional animation and production skills.
Our longtime photographer Gary Tyson at F8 Photography for his superb live footage and editing.
John Hutton the poet and voice artist that captured the man so well.
Last but perhaps most important of all was our longtime clients Philippe and Sanam atLondonand Capital for their trust and belief that the film and the event would meet and exceed their goals and aspirations. We couldn’t do it without them.
The movie was for a private client’s birthday celebration and was to take the place of the usual speeches and testimonials. As the Director and the Producer I knew nothing of the man that the movie was to be about. Our subject’s life consisted of many facets of people who had never met. These groups all knew him in very different ways and most did not know him fully. As it was to be a surprise I could not ask him any questions, putting it together became a piece of ‘investigative journalism’. The watery eyes and the beaming smile from the man on the night told me we got it right.
