ArtBCF (Art Banking Charitable Foundation) is a charity dedicated to empowering artists and nourishing the soul through arts.
As part of a year long program to fund an artist in residence program at a Hong Kong women’s shelter we ran a ‘stilt walk-a-thon’ called “Walking Tall”. Children and young adults from several schools were taught how to walk on stilts over several weeks. During that time the gathered donations from sponsors to sponsor them to walk 100 yards on stilts unaided. The exercise raised money for “SoulTalk” a women’s charity as well as help the participants gain new skills and pride in themselves.
